Just a drive-by entry to pimp a couple of things.

First, [livejournal.com profile] miintikwa is having a one-card draw until 4 p.m. EST, for those who might be interested.

Second, for those fans of [livejournal.com profile] grrm's fantasy series, A Song of Ice and Fire, some exciting news! SQUEE! I'm preordering and calling it my birthday present to myself. Hey, close enough! (Eep, holy crap, it's cheaper now than when I looked yesterday! POUNCE!)

I have faith that the reason it has taken him so long is because he refuses to churn out drek.

He still has one more book to go after this, though, doesn't he? Already partly written, but as I understand it, he had to split his plans for one last book into two...

I thought that was what happened with the last book (Feast For Crows)? The last one (I thought) is supposed to be Dances With Dragons, although he may be pulling a Robert Jordan and turning a trilogy into a dozen novels that never ever end. If he does that, I will be mightily disappointed in him.
